John Bruns arrived on planet Earth 48 days after the allies arrived on Omaha Beach. He grew up in Pasadena, California. His short fiction has appeared in The Laguna Review and a long lost anthology, Tuesday Nights with Rosa Aurora. His essays have appeared in the Washington Post and Fifty Plus magazine.
He has enjoyed the friendship of ten dogs and two cats. He has owned nine automobiles, and a banjo which he never learned to play. He once turned down an invitation to Woodstock on the grounds that it might rain. He once sold a book to a member of the Kingston Trio. He has been hugged by an orangutan. He has been buzzed by a B-52. He imagines he'll be happier when the number of publications exceeds the number of automobiles.
